Fiber Arts Classes

The Craft Center has an assortment of sewing machines, tools, irons and ironing boards available for members with sewing experience to use. In addition, there is a fully functional screen printing studio, including: a t-shirt printing press, a light box, and screen wash-out sink.

Students can sign up starting for Fall 2024 classes on September 25 Staff, Faculty, and Adult Public can sign up starting October 4

Beginning Sewing with Kayla

Mondays 4-6:30 Oct 14 - Nov 25 (no class 11/11)

OSU Fee-Paying Student Fee: $50

Learn to sew! You'll receive lots of hands-on guidance. You will start with useful beginning project to gain familiarity and the skills to continue your sewing endeavors.

Crochet Club with Lillian

Free and Drop-In!

Come discover crochet or work on a project with friends in this casual Friday club! Feel free to drop in even if the club meet ups have already started.

Intro to Screenprinting with Sarah

In this 4-week class learn how to screen print your own designs. you will learn the essential steps from design planning, screen preparation, image transfer and printing on fabric with water-based inks. One T- shirt will be provided along with one screen rental for the term. Walk away with the experience of printing your own design at the Craft Center and ideas of how you could set up your own home print studio.

Leathercraft Basics with SueZeev

2-Day Workshop

Friday Nov 15 6-8:30

Non-student workshop Fee: $100

Instructor: SueZeev Ranseen (they/them)

In this workshop you will be guided through the fundamentals of cutting & shaping leather, using the stamping tools, using a leather punch to set rivets, etc. Come away with a finished key chain, bracelet or other simple leather project.
