Experiential Learning & Activities supports student engagement through a wide array of cocurricular experiences that support students in finding purpose and belonging through meaningful connections. Though clubs and organizations, programming, student media and other activities, students can discover their passions and build community.
ELA is made up of four units: Clubs & Organizations, Global Community Kitchen, Orange Media Network, and OSU Program Council. Clubs & Organizations is a resource for student clubs and students interested in joining clubs on campus. Global Community Kitchen is a one-of-a-kind program that allows campus organizations to make and cater their own cultural meals out of a commercial kitchen. Orange Media Network (OMN) is OSU's student media, which includes a weekly newspaper (The Barometer), three magazines (Prism, Beaver's Digest, and DAMchic), a TV station (KBVR-TV), and a radio station (KBVR-FM). OMN also offers graphic design, videography, photography, and advertisement services for hire. OSU Program Council (OSUPC) holds an array of diverse, high quality events to engage OSU students and enhance student life. Major OSUPC events include Dam Jam, Family Weekend shows and activities, Drag Bingo, Welcome Week events, and more.
