Menu Planning

You should create a draft menu and recipes before meeting with the Global Community Kitchen Coordinator. The recommended things to include are listed below, and you can download a worksheet with this information as well.

Menu Planning

Follow the guidelines below when planning your menu.

For your event, select:

  • 1-2 beverages (hot or cold)
  • 1-2 meat or main dishes
  • 1-3 vegetable or side dishes
  • 1-2 desserts
  • Optional: Other (1-2)

Menu Template

Recipe Planning

For each recipe, follow the guidelines below.

For each recipe:

  • Recipe name
  • Number of servings (2, 3, 4, etc.)
  • Portion size (oz, lb, fl oz)
  • Equipment needed
  • Ingredients
  • Methods (cooking steps)

For each ingredient:

  • Ingredient
  • amount
  • event amount
