At Oregon State University, there are many ways to get involved and find community. The first step is getting connected. There’s a community for every interest, from affinity specific community centers to over 400 student organizations on campus. And what doesn’t exist is easy to create.

- Attend a START resource fair
- Attend welcome events and programs by the cultural resource centers of Diversity & Cultural Engagement
- Attend the fall Beaver Community Fair to learn about the clubs and organizations available to OSU students.
- Meet the team that connects you to volunteer service, civic engagement, and leadership development opportunities at an Information Session: Get Involved with Community Engagement & Leadership in the first three weeks of the term.
- Complete the SEE Interest Form if you’re not sure where to start. This is a customized process to connect you to events, programs, interests, and communities that most appeal to you!
- Reach out to DCE’s 7 Cultural Resource Centers to learn more about programs, resources, community and engagement opportunities.
- Engage your imagination and de-stress through creativity by attending workshops, open studio use or checking out craft kits at the Craft Center.
- Learn to tell your story and gain media skills with Orange Media Network’s radio, tv, graphic design, sales marketing, and journalism opportunities.
- Support your mental health by attending CAPS Support Groups. Take a look at their Calendar for other wellbeing opportunities.
- Attend an OSU Program Council social, entertainment or educational event.
- Build your leadership identity and volunteer for social causes you care about with Community Engagement & Leadership.
- Visit the Recognized Student Organization Directory to view and join one of our 400+ student clubs. If there is not a club you are interested in, contact the Clubs and Orgs Office to start a new club.
- Attend cultural events and sample food prepared by students in the Global Community Kitchen.
- Start to follow the social media accounts of student organizations, campus offices, and resource centers to stay the most up-to-date on events and announcements.
