Welcome to the Asian & Pacific Cultural Center
ABOUT US
The Asian & Pacific Cultural Center (APCC) is a space to engage on-campus and online students and members of the community around the Asian and Pacific Islander experience. We provide opportunities for engagement around the intersectional experiences of Asian and Pacific Islanders, the pursuit towards academic excellence, and the emergence of professional passion.
We welcome everyone to join us – even from a distance. If you would like to be connected to our resources from afar, please let us know, and we will work to include you in our efforts.

Our History
The initiative for the establishment of the Asian Cultural Center (ACC) at Oregon State University started as early as 1980 and was officially established in 1991. The ACC gained its first space in Snell Hall 131 and then moved to its former permanent space at 2638 NW Jackson Street in the College Hill West Historic District. The Asian Cultural Center was renamed as the Asian & Pacific Cultural Center (APCC) in 2003 to be inclusive of the Pacific Islander communities.
The new Asian & Pacific Cultural Center located in the heart of campus at 2695 SW Jefferson Way, broke ground on May 5th, 2014 and officially opened to the general public on February 9th, 2015. The construction of the Asian & Pacific Cultural Center was supported by generous donors to The Campaign for OSU, the university’s first campus-wide fundraising initiative, as well as by the university, the OSU Foundation and the students of OSU through their student fees. Significant amount of support came from Joyce Collin Furman ’64 and the Meyer Memorial Trust.
30th Year Anniversary (2021)
There's always a history behind things; whether it's a person, facility, or community. The Asian & Pacific Cultural Center held its 30th year anniversary in 2021. The APCC staff created this magazine to celebrate the anniversary and to honor the journey of all founders, workers, and student staff who established and maintained the community this far.
