NEW: Day Passes for Non-Students!

Adult community members and OSU employees are welcome to participate in Open Studio at the Craft Center using a Day Pass. Day Passes are sold in person at the Craft Center.

Who is the Day Pass for?

  • The Day Pass is for OSU Employees and Adult Community Members interested in accessing a studio to practice a technique, complete a project, or use a tool/piece of equipment for a day. The Craft Center is not a place for production work or making work for sale.

When can the Day Pass be used?

  • The Day Pass is valid on the date of purchase for the remaining open hours that day. Keep in mind that studios are reserved throughout the week for scheduled workshops. Check out the Workshop Schedule to coordinate when the studio is available.

How to purchase a Day Pass:

  • Come to the Craft Center to complete orientations for each studio you're interested in working in before you purchase your pass. Consult the Tech Times Schedule for information about when Techs and orientations are available.
  • Day Passes cost $20 per day.
  • Come by the Craft Center in person during open hours to buy a Day Pass at the front desk.

Keep in mind:

  • Orientations are available each term from Week 2 through Week 4.
  • Most of the studios and equipment require an orientation before you have independent access.
  • Need extra help with a technique or piece of equipment? We recommend taking a workshop!

Membership

A new Membership Form will need to be filled out EACH TERM. Memberships are FREE for incidental fee-paying OSU Students.

START HERE ⇒ Renew/Fill Out Your Member Form

OSU students who are non-fee paying (ie: ecampus students) can sign up for membership at the Craft Center Front Desk and pay $40 for a term membership to access the studios.

NEXT STEP:

Some studio areas require a Studio Orientation to introduce you to the space and how the studio functions. A schedule of orientations is available at the Front Desk. Orientations are also available during Tech Times. We have links to DIY YouTube videos for several studios.

If you are a total beginner, we recommend you either take a workshop or come into that studio's tech time.

Summer Term: Students participating in Summer Term must have already received an orientation and feel comfortable using available equipment. Tech times will not be available. If you need technical support, check out our workshop offerings!
