Welcome to Experiential Learning & Activities
Experiential Learning & Activities (ELA)
is the hub of student organizations, media and creative expression. Our mission is to provide resources, advising and media platforms that help students of all identities create activities, share stories, build community and celebrate passions, cultures and lived experiences.
As you travel on your journey through college to discover yourself, find your community and determine your role and impact in this world, we want to support you. We believe that all students at OSU should be able to find belonging and creatively express themselves - their thoughts, emotions and beliefs.
Our programs are designed to provide you different ways to express yourself. Join any of our 400+ clubs or student organization on campus. Create media (e.g., host a podcast, create a tv show, DJ a radio show, write articles for our publications, shoot photos, design layouts). Attend our events.
How you express yourself is up to you. We provide you with the resources, mentorship and media platforms to help you. We are Experiential Learning and Activities. We are ELA.

Values
Self Expression
Sharing ourselves with others through the expression of our thoughts, emotions and beliefs. When we are able to express our thoughts, emotions and beliefs, we can be our best selves, reach our full potential and make valuable contributions to the communities we belong.
Equity
Ensuring each student receives what they need to be successful through the intentional design of the college experience and the dismantling of the barriers facing underserved students. Viewing the world through the lens of equity allows us to redirect our resources to areas with the greatest barriers and intentionally provide support.
Growth
Having the courage and curiosity to always try new things, even if they are different or initially make us uncomfortable. We strive to give and receive constructive feedback in order to grow our skills and those of our students. When we try new things outside of our comfort zone, we have the opportunity to experience transformation and build resilience - a transferrable skill that helps students be future-ready.
